Irene Zuniga Rios is a passionate Human Resources professional specializing in employee
relations. Currently, she serves as the Human Resources Manager at Wonderful Citrus, one of the
largest citrus growers, shippers, and packers of fresh citrus in the U.S. In her role, Irene supports
employees by helping them understand their benefits, navigate company policies, and advance
their professional development. She is committed to fostering a positive work environment and
takes pride in enhancing the employee experience at Wonderful Citrus.

Irene holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in HR
Management and an MBA from California State University, Bakersfield. She also earned a
Human Resource Professional in Agricultural Certificate from the Agricultural Personnel
Management Association, further sharpening her expertise in HR within the agriculture sector.

In addition to her professional role, Irene serves as Secretary and Board Member of the
California Farmworker Foundation, where she actively contributes to supporting and serving
farmworkers by living the foundation’s mission: “To serve and support California farmworkers
by providing programs and services to better their quality of life.”

Outside of work, Irene enjoys hiking and traveling with her two-year-old son, and values quality
time with her family.
