Cynthia Moreno has been in the Human Resource field since 2011. Graduated from California
State University Bakersfield with her bachelor’s degree in business administration with a
concentration in human resources. Soon after receiving her degree, she started with Jim’s Supply
Company Inc. in the Human Resources Department. Cynthia’s experience ranges from payroll,
labor relations, employee benefits, employee compensation, recruitment, compliance,
organizational structure, employee training and development, safety, Department of
Transportation, and marketing.
The company later spun off to a new entity in 2017 becoming Jim’s Steel Supply, LLC where
Cynthia is now the Human Resources Manager. She has over 13 years of experience in the
Human Resources field and has expanded her skills to other departments within that company. In
support of the growth of this new company Cynthia has taken roles other than HR to help in its
success, ranging from Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, IT, and Marketing.
In 2022, Cynthia volunteered as the marketing support to the 25th annual KCSHRM symposium
chair. Cynthia was elected in 2023 as KCSHRM Director of Communication/Marketing. She has
volunteered and held this position for two years. Cynthia has also supported the symposium
chairs as the sub captain to the symposium marketing for both the 26th (2023) & 27th (2024)
annual KCSHRM symposium. As Cynthia continues to grow in her professional field, her goal is
continuing to do the same for KCSHRM. Cynthia also enjoys spending time with family,
crafting, and traveling.
