Shaylyn joined Hub International in 2016, bringing a wealth of experience to the agency with her. Shaylyn started her career at Robert Half International, a Fortune 500 staffing firm. During her years at Robert Half, she enjoyed working with business owners and HR managers in matching job candidates with organizational needs. In 2001 Shaylyn co-launched a business and led it successfully for 11 years. Her experiences as both business owner and staffing professional give her insight into the challenges and goals of employers seeking to attract and retain quality employees. In 2014 she entered the employee benefits arena at Arthur J. Gallagher agency in Fresno. Shaylyn enjoys working with clients in designing and managing benefits programs that are compliant with legislative mandates and that align with their business goals. An avid cyclist, Shaylyn has taught cycling at George Brown’s Sports Club in Fresno for almost a decade. She is passionate about both fitness and wellness and served as the Wellness Champion for the Fresno branch of Arthur J. Gallagher. As a certified fitness, health and wellness professional, she has first-hand experience with the challenges and rewards of implementing a corporate workplace wellness program.
Shaylyn graduated from the University of Utah with a Bachelor of Science in Human Development in 1999. She is Vice President and team member of Pinnacle Racing, an elite cycling racing team in Central California, and is a top contributor and lead consultant for the Anthem Blue Cross “CA Moves Miles” Campaign. Shaylyn serves on the Kern County Society for Human Resource Management (KC SHRM) board and was the Conference Director in 2019 – 2020.
