About Kern County SHRM
The Kern County Society for Human Resource Management (KC SHRM) is a professional organization dedicated to advancing the HR profession and fostering an environment of education, collaboration, and innovation. As an official affiliate of SHRM—the world’s largest association devoted to human resource management—KC SHRM connects HR professionals, business leaders, and community members across Kern County.
Beyond professional development, KC SHRM is deeply committed to community service. Each month, our members volunteer in meaningful ways, from serving meals at local shelters to supporting seniors through activities with the Alzheimer’s Association. We embrace servant leadership, encouraging our members to give back while growing as leaders in their field.
Our chapter proudly represents 154 members, including 60 certified professionals holding SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP credentials. While small in membership size, our impact is significant: monthly “Lunch & Learn” meetings often draw 175+ attendees, and our Annual Conference welcomes over 400 participants—making it one of the largest HR conferences in California.
With a focus on high-quality programming, networking, and community engagement, KC SHRM continues to serve as a trusted resource for HR professionals and organizations throughout Kern County.
